QTR Project

flavio has finally gotten a project for this qtr and flavio's project is about circuits and circuits elements. flavio will find how many ways can two or more batteries be connected in a circuit with a light bulb, flavio will find out how the current flow will chande due to its arrangment.

last evaluation

the things that flavio has learned in this half of year in mr. tillay's class is that life is hard and that you just have to go along with it and thats what flavio has learned by himself. in physic you must study and that is hard stuff, flavio tries to study but thats not his best side in the school department. flavio tries to study at least 3 times a week for physics but sadly no this does not happen and flavio does feel bad about it. the strenghts that flavio has are many in asking questions to trying to answer questions, flavio's weakness are mostly quizes and test which make the finally all the more special. next semester flavio will work on studiing and focusing on test more. more tillay could lecture more to help but he is doing fine. the grade flavio thinks he should get for the semseter is an A and thats want he really wants and for the quater also an A.

bands and battles

Rebecca Weeks
essay
Mr. Tillay had assigned a ten week project to see how well we can work while having other responsibilities. This project was to see how we can manage our time, as we have to learn this before we go to college. Seeing as this project is a major part of our grade, and he had told us what professors may do, he is preparing us for what we are expected to do when we go into the real world, which is to focus on not only all the little things, but the big picture as well.

Evaluation
My instrument is a maraca. It makes noise when you shake the jar and move the beans. When the beans hit the sides of the jar, they resonate which is the noise you hear. For our band’s costumes, we had thought of dressing nicely in all black with white ties. Unfortunately I could not find a white tie. We had practiced for a total of seven hours. The three songs that we practiced and performed were “Jingle Bells”, “Rugrats Theme” and “I’m a Nut”.

Essay/evaluation

As a group we performed two extra songs. As individuals Flavio and Nick did the most work on the bands website. Ariana and Rebecca edited their own pages but didn't do anything else for the website. Ariana made the bands poster. we all did something to help the band go above and beyond. I beleive that Nick earned an A + because he did the most work on his instrument, he was also available for any of the practices, and he came up with the idea of making a website. Flavio also earned an A for his work on the project because made a pretty nice instrument, he let the band come to his house practice, and helped with creating the website. Ariana also earned an A because she worked really hard on creating her instrument, she communicated with the band about practices and she created the bands poster. As much as I hate to say it Rebecca only earned a C + she didn't care much about her instrument after her first two didn't work out, she wasn't available for practice very often but she did allow the band to use her house for practice.As a band we earned an A because we went above and beyond and we made music not noise. Flavi and the OO's was the BEST band Mr. Tillay has ever seen!!!

Nicks bongos were well crafted and had a nice sound to them. He could have replaced the leather but he was worried that he didn't have enough time to stretch the leather tight enough for it to sound well. Our band practiced pretty often the last couple weeks, but we still needed more time to practice. We should have practiced the Rugrats theme song more.





Ariana Quitugua
Essay.

Mr. tillay physics class finished a long term project. Called “battle of the bands”, the requirements were to build your own instrument, form a band, and play a selection of song, including jingle bells. The project took place over a time span of ten weeks. After every band played it was said that mister tillay himself that students rarely learned from short term projects. The concept for this project was to learn the projection of sound. During the performances every one told how their own instrument produces sound. Everyone played average giving proof that everyone had the knowledge on how their own instrument produced sound.

Evaluation

Ariana finally instrument was the pan pipes. An “A-“ should be given to this instrument to this instrument due to creativity and its ability to be in harmony. The instrument was in tune since all note were all together. During the performance this instruments had a valid roll in each song. Everyone contributed to the performance. Ariana made the banner showing the name. in all, the band got together 7 times to practice the original songs, the rugrats theme song, and the kid song im a nut. Ariana’s band was successful during its performance. The band flavi and the oo’s ft nick did a lot of things that were above and beyond. The member were ariana Q. FlavioZ, nick C, and Rebecca W. all member wore and outfit consisting of a black button up and white tie (not Rebecca). Flavio Z and nick C were the ones who created and edit the website for the band. Ariana Q. made the banner showing the band’s name for the finally performance. For separate evolution Flavio ariana and nick should earn an “A-“ and Rebecca a “B-“ as a band it should get an A-


Flavio Zanipatin Essay.
One of the reasons why Mr.Tillay gave his students a long term project is the fact that students do not learn as much when they are assigned short one or two week projects. Mr tillay know that when he assigns his students a quarter project that he wants them to learn and to take in as much information as they can. This project “battle of the bands” was a ten week quarterly project, Mr.tillay told his student that every Friday he would not assign any homework but the “battle of the band” this was a great idea cause when the end of the project was coming last minute things really helped

Evaluation
Flavio’s instrument was the wind chimes formed to be a xylophone. This instrument should get an “A” for that it makes beautiful music when hit and looks amazing. During the performance the instrument was a good main part of the whole thing, when played along with the pan pipes it is one of the many things you hear. Flavio help with a lot of the work on the band with the band practice to the website, Flavio helped with a good piece for the band. The grade Flavio things he should get is an ”A” and as a band an “A”.

BATTLE OF THE BANDS!!

today was the day. Flavi and the oo's made history being the first band up in the 2009 battle of the bands project. the songs play went beauitful untill flavio choked on the last song not knowing what to do he pullled thru. and made beautiful music with his fellow memebers!!

PRE D-Day

today was the last day of practice for tomorrow the band goes up 1ST and comes in 1st for the battle of the bands. today was a good day alot of laughs shared and alot of work done to get our work packed in together for the big day tomorrow. Tomorrow well be a great day for man kind for that FLAVI AND THE OO'S WILL MAKE HISTORY!!!
